Australian contemporary seascape artist Jane Kempe, in the Maldives, with her painting “Beach Totem”.  In the background is the traditional Maldivian wooden boat called a Dhoni.  She is fascinated by life underwater, the vibrancy of beach culture and sailing.  An inspiring quote was posted to Jane’s Twitter account by a US solo sailor, “you paint what it is to sail”.

Her dynamic career has included a three month residency in the glorious Maldives and exhibitions in Italy, France and London.  In Australia, Jane is regularly artist in residence at Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef.

Jane’s unique style explores vivid colours, texture and line. Her favourite painting mediums are acrylics and mixed media.

Her art is held in private collections globally.

We would like to mention that we saw some of your paintings in London where I was also exhibiting and we absolutely adore your work. The colours that you use are fascinating. We just wanted to tell how much we enjoyed looking at them.
