About The Artist

The beach is my happy place. My art studio, my playground.

I was born in Point Lonsdale, a tiny village by the sea. After living in Melbourne for some years, I returned home to paint the beauty of my coastal environment. I started with hand-painting t-shirts at the Queenscliffe Market. With increasing popularity for my work, I moved to a shop on the main street. My designs were applied to tourism at a local and state level. On the Mornington Peninsula, I exhibited my paintings at Blairgowrie, focusing on the colour and movement of sailing. I also created graphic art and illustrations for wineries. In Melbourne, I exhibited at Potoroo, SouthBank, Melbourne, Without Pier Sandringham, Manyung Gallery, Mt. Eliza, and Eagles Nest Gallery, Aireys Inlet on the Great Ocean Road. In 2008, I was invited to exhibit at Hamilton Island in tropical North Queensland. It is the perfect location for my vibrant sailing art, tropical reef scenes and colourful landscapes. Sailing artworks express the energy and colour of yacht racing. Tropical reefs abound with color, texture and movement. And tropical sunsets light up the sky.

I love the Twitter post on my account, by an international solo sailor -

"You paint what it is to sail".

I studied at "The Gordon" in Geelong with qualifications in Visual Arts, specialising in acrylic painting techniques.

My art is collected worldwide. I’ve exhibited in Italy, France and London.  In 2016, I accepted a three month residency at a luxury island resort in the Maldives.

These experiences flow through me in the studio, after a meander along the beach at Point Lonsdale with my Dachsund Patrick.  At day’s end, we go out exploring again, refreshed by the ever-changing sea and sky.

Commissions are welcome.
